Is America in… “The Twilight Zone”?
. With all that has gone on from the first Bush, Clinton, George W Bush, Obama, and now Trump, I have seen better days for Americans in even my lifetime. The media call’s bad good and good bad seems that I have heard this preached before. I know preachers from 1800-1910, that preached the King James Bible are shocked by what is now happening.
If you have studied the Bible for a while, you come to find out that the United States is not mentioned anywhere in the scripture. The only way that America is mentioned, is through a cub of the Lion, the Lion being England. That has made me think that America is looked at by God, as an afterthought. I mean that in this way, you can see that in Revelation chapter 3, the church of the Laodiceans. Due to their lukewarmness, Laodicea was spued out of the Lord’s mouth. You can also see that their democracy did not last more than 350 years due to an earthquake. I am just thinking out loud, isn’t that just like America?
America is rich beyond the poorest man’s needs. For example, if you take my family, we definitely are not rich in worldly standards but I am rich by God’s. With my family of four, I own a 751 square foot home, it isn’t that big but it is the place God has let me have. I have both home and cell phones, tablets, laptop & regular computer, cable internet, and an automobile that is a 2013 model. I am and have good blessings from God, yet I live in the low-income bracket.
Americans that are Blood bought, Saved Believers in Jesus Christ, have lost their first love. Your first love should be Jesus Christ but, this isn’t a new problem. Look at Matthew 16:24-26, everyone that is Saved has an option. They can either live for Christ or for themselves. I wake up every day and have to crucify my flesh. When I start living for myself some verses that I turn to are in 1 Corinthians 6:6-20. Paul was writing to a Corinthian church, they were dealing with sin in their own lives. But, isn’t that what we all have to deal with here in America? If there is any sin in your life, no matter what it is, there will be the chastisement, Hebrews 12:5-8 for the children of God. That is one of the reasons that I know without a doubt that I am Saved, Saved, Saved. You shouldn’t follow your own will but you should follow the will of the Holy Ghost! You will not hear from the Holy Ghost if you don’t read your Bible and pray throughout the day. Have real Christians forgotten what we should live for? I think that we have been pressed by our neighbors to a point that man feels they have to keep up with your the neighbor in the church. Why do you put yourself where you know you will fall short of pleasing the One.
That brings me to 2 Kings 17:7-23, Israel is a type or shadow of the people who are saved now. God had set the children of Israel in some real predicaments throughout the entire Bible. This is unlike no other time and it is the same thing that happens to you or your brothers and sisters in Christ. Look at 2 Kings 17:7-13, if you switch the name of Israel to maybe America, you can see the things Israel faced. Egypt is perfect for the state of the world, it is just going on and on like nothing has happened over the last 80 years. Pharaoh is the perfect picture of Satan, just doing whatever he can to mess up everyone’s life before the Lord comes back for his children in the catching away or, the Rapture. Satan will make you believe there are other gods that you have to clutter your life with just look at Matthew 16:24-26.
All in all, the Lord will just let you do what you want because you hate knowledge and counsel from God’s Word. You just want God to leave you to play with your own devices. Read Proverbs 1:20-32, that is definitely where we as American’s are with God. In 2 Kings 17:14-23, America is behaving like Israel! When are the American believers going to just look at real history and see that every democratic country has some serious problems with lasting? I don’t think America will last for too much longer.
We are coming to a breaking point in this world. Something is going to happen. From what I have been reading, I do believe the Lord is coming again. Jesus Christ will be coming for his Saint’s sooner rather than later. Look at 2 Timothy 3:1-7, the key points are already there. The Believers in the United States of America need to have a, “Come to Jesus Moment”, and really look & examine their own societies and, see that the writing is on the wall. Just like when Daniel to confront Belshazzar, in Daniel chapter 5, Belshazzar saw the writing was on the wall for his kingdom also.
That makes me think of something else, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-10, people who are Blood bought Believers in Christ don’t need to be concerned with the cares of this world. You know that Jesus is coming again and you know that you want to be found faithful to the Will of God and not your own or, do you? I want to be that man that is found faithful to the Will of God instead of my own. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, I know that I am not my own anymore. I know that I owe my all to Jesus Christ for paying the ultimate price for my sin. Christians should be Willing to repay Christ for all he has done. It would be great if America would step out of, “The Twilight Zone”, but I think that is impossible now. As the Bible tells us in Luke 21:28, look up for your redemption draweth nigh.
